Asheville High School fielded its first varsity women’s lacrosse team during the spring 2020 season under the leadership of Coach Connor “Coach J” Jardeleza.
Playing in the western-most NCHSAA conference with TC Roberson, Watauga, St. Stephens, Patton, and Hickory high schools, the Cougars fought through the 2020 and 2021 seasons. With a roster packed with returning players, the Cougars are primed for great success in 2022.
The Cougars Lacrosse Alliance is proud to organize and fund our public school varsity lacrosse team through the 2022 season under an agreement with the Asheville Board of Education. The Alliance and the varsity lacrosse program receive no public funds and rely on generous individual donations and local company sponsorship.
